Tropical outlook
: A disturbance in the western Gulf of Mexico has a medium chance of becoming a tropical cyclone before making landfall. Read about it here on AL.com.

(For a complete forecast see Thursday's Press-Register. For other Alabama weather news, visit al.com/weather.) The salmon bite was frustrating today - fish jumping everywhere and hardly a one would bite...I trolled over 6 hours and only had two small shakers (undersized King Salmon), oh and one shark!!

But the bottom fishing for halibut and rock fish kept us alive, although there were a couple King salmon that hit the dock, including a real nice 24 pounder!!

Here are the pictures of today's catch!!

Hopefully we'll get some rain tomorrow and cool off a little so the fishing improves!!

Another fine day at Yes Bay Lodge in SE Alaska!!
